                (Terms commonly used)

TWA- Teeny weenie Afro  (lol)
SA-  Small Afro
COWASH-  Washing your hair using only conditioner
BIG CHOP - The major hair cut that takes you from relaxed to natural
TRANSITION CHOP-  The haircut that takes you from relaxed to natural after growing hair out when it reaches your desired length
MINI CHOP- The haircut that takes you from relaxed to natural by removing the last small amount of relaxed ends.  (Hope that wasn't too confusing lol)
DUSTING-  Lightly trimming your hair.  The length that is taken off is barely noticeable.
WNG- Wash and go hairstyle
SSK- Single Strand Knots  (ugh)
SHINGLING-  Applying a styler product to hair in sections and using fingers in a raking motion to get the hair to curl

LOC METHOD- Liquid, Oil, Cream  is the order in which you apply your products to clean hair :) I love this method.

LOCO METHOD - Extension of the LOC method  This is the order you would apply your products to clean hair.
L - liquid (usually water or liquid leave in)   O- oil    C- cream/leave in   O- sealing oil  (This is the method I currently use.)

LCO METHOD- Leave in, Cream, Oil is the order in which you apply your products to clean hair. I used to use this method when I was relaxed :)

CG- Curly Girl method created by Lorraine Massey. This method involves using conditioners as cleansers, and stylers to achieve super soft, moisturized curls/ coils.  ( I am doing a version of this method for my fro.)
EL-Ear length hair
SL- Shoulder length hair
APL- Arm pit length hair
BSL- Bra strap length hair
MBL- Mid-back Length hair
EVOO- Extra Virgin Olive Oil

DC- Deep Condition
ECVO- Extra virgin coconut oil
EVOO- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
JBCO- Jamaican Black Castor Oil
ACV- Apple cider vinegar
SLIP=  How slippery a product is.(usually conditioner)  The more slip a product has, the easier it is to detangle the hair.

Shrinkage-  Refers to the hair "drawing up" and appearing shorter (in my case MUCH shorter lol) than it really is. Things like water and humidity, can cause shrinkage :)
HHJ- Healthy Hair Journey
1a,1b,1c,2a,2b,2c,3a,3b,3c,4a,4b,4c,-  Hair type system created by Andre Walker. (1's straight, 2's wavy, 3's curly,
4's kinky curly coily)  It is helpful to know your hair type for styling options, and correct product selection.

If you have any other Hair Lingo terms to add, be sure to let me know.  Thanks :)
