I don't know what to say right now other than I'm SHOCKED!!! I decided to try the Eden Body Works Curl Defining Cream for a damp twistout... As you may know this product DID NOT work for me last summer. But I was feeling daring especially since it now works well for my wash and gos. I even used the Eden Body Works Coconut Shea Leave in for the style.
I also decided to try something else that I haven't done since Sept 2012 lol, the LCO method on freshly washed hair. I'm usually a LOC and a LOCO girl. The reason I decided to try this method this time is because I'm experimenting with my scalp... I have always mentioned that it is sensitive to oils... my hair loves them but my scalp isn't a fan so much. :/ Whenever I do the LOC or LOCO method I try to avoid my scalp as much as possible but I still get this crazy itch after a couple days. I've always had to wash my hair 2x a week (even with the LCO method I used back in my relaxed days) but recently I added another cowash in there which I'm fine with but I don't wanna be blitzing through product lol. So with that, the wheels in my head started turning and I decided to try to see what my hair and scalp does WITHOUT direct liquid oils at this point in my journey. Will my scalp be a little calmer??? As you know, things change lol! When I was applying my product this time to wet hair, it didn't feel as nice as it would if I had my avocado oil in my hair... but I kept going... I used the Eden leave in, put clips in my hair to help stretch it a little, and sat under the dryer to get my hair to a "damp" state rather than soaking wet. Then I twisted with the Curl Defining Creme and Oyin Burnt Sugar Pomade (sealer). I even added a little of the pomade to the itchier areas of my scalp. OMG, I LOVE THE RESULTS! Right now, my hair does NOT feel dry at all and my scalp feels really good too. :) Maybe it's the products?!? I dunno! I will let you know how it does with me not using the liquid oils. This is another experimental phase for me! Hmmm... I'll post the day 2/3 hair tomorrow. :)

Love your blog! You might want to try almond oil on your scalp. I've been using it on my hair for a while (either straight or mixed with a leave-in). But I just recently started using it on my scalp. It is very light, sinks in, and does not cause any build up or rank smell. I use the Now Foods brand almond oil (find at health food store or on Amazon). If you have any nut allergies, though, you probably should not use any nut oils.
