Tight and Defined Twistout (on freshly trimmed hair)

I absolutely love rockin' my fro in a "not so defined" twistout! But on this wash day, I needed to do a trim because my ends were really over due lol. My last trim was back in November, so it has been quite some time :). I always trim my hair in twists because it helps me see the straggly ends that need to be cut off. This time, I decided to twist my hair in VERY small twists to see if I could get a "tight and defined" twistout. I believe I had about 55-60 twists in my hair. I normally don't go for curl definition as much as I do "fullness", but I wanted to see how I felt about this look on me :) I think it came out pretty good for my first try! I'm still much more of a fan of my fluffier twistouts, but I this looks cool too :) What do you think?

I like it with the more defined curls. Your hair is really growing. I'm not seeing as much lenght as yet, but I'm trying to be patient about it. Oh by the way, I tried the LOC method (at least your version of it) and my hair is not so dry anymore!!! I'm loving it. And it's been working for y girls too ( I have two of them...). Again thanks for the amazing posts!!!

I know for sure our hair is similar. When I do the smaller twists this is how my hair looks. I've been experimenting with different amounts of twists like these; I finally found out that about 16-18 twists gives me the fuller look with some definition. Have you tried experimenting with the number of twists? I like the fuller look on you; but this style is cute too.

Thanks! This was the first time I have tried to achieve a VERY defined look :) Since I wanted it very tight and defined I did a ton of twists lol. I usually do about 17-25 twists or so, to get a fuller look. When I want very little definition, I make less twists. I enjoyed this look but definitely prefer my fuller twistouts :) Gotta love the fro!
