Alright, I decided to try to get the look of a blowout without using heat. I REALLY wasn't sure what I was doing or how my fro would turn out, but I don't think the results were too bad for my first try lol. Next time, I might switch up my products to see if I can get a little been more sheen... My hair is naturally duller whenever it is combed out or fully shrunken lol. I'm still learning how to work with it :) . I love this look! Have a blessed day! Check out my Heatless Blowout Attempt- NaturalMe4C video on Youtube!

Oh I love this. Now I have a bias. I lived through the sixties. But let me share how we achieved are "bad a-s afros" as we called them. Start out with about 4 sections of your head. I would say in each section to make about 4 braids(not twists, because braids will straighten the hair more) Use a light oil to make the braids( you don't want to use too much moisture because it shrinks the hair. And this works better on second day hair) Now make the braids. In he morning, use your "pick" (afro pick) This is important! It must be a pick. And take one or two braids down and "pick" it from root to end( you'll find that the hair sort of straightens) Also be careful picking(not to hard, you don't want to tear the hair, but hard enough to be able to comb from root to end) Then do each section. Now after that try to pick all of your hair and bring the pick all the way out to the ends. After the picking just pat really lightly around the ends until your fro is even. That's it. We use to spray softsheen oil spray to make the fro sparkle. Good luck and let me know if any questions. Love your look by the way.
