Happy 2013!  Time is flying by!  On this New Years Day, I first, want to take some time to thank God for His many blessings.  I'm thankful for my family, life, health, and strength!  Without Him, I don't know where I would be....
2012 was a very big year for me!  I've completley changed my mentality toward my hair.  I love it!  There were times where I never thought I'd be able to say that.  I really didn't enjoy my hair growing up....it was always a hassle.  But now that I've moved forward with my natural hair journey, I'm looking for great things :)

The beginning of my transition to natural

               2013 Hair Resolutions

1.  Keep things simple
I want to continue having a simple and easy regimin.  I don't want to make things complicated! LOL  I also don't want to spend a lot of money on products. :)

2. There is no such thing as a bad hair day in 2013!
This year, I want to not stress about what my hair looks like.  Even if styles don't come out right!  LOL Having confidence is what matters. :)

3. "Health" over "Length"
I used to focus so much of my time on reaching length goals...  but my hair health suffered.  This year, I'm concentating on the health of my hair and not so much the length of it.

4.Enjoy trying new hairstyles
I want to start trying new things with my hair.  This is the first time I've been natural in about 15 years so I have a lot to look forward to!  I'm just going to have fun and start styling! LOL

5. Enjoy the journey!
This year, I really want to enjoy my hair journey.  I don't want to stress out about things. I don't want to worry about things either.  I'm really going to just take each day one step at a time :)
This hair journey has helped me gain confidence in other areas of my life
as well.  I'm learning to just be who I am and not worry so much about the
little things I can't change.  I'm learning that those little things are what
makes "me."  :)
Remember to keep God first in all things!
Be blessed and have a Happy New Year!

I know you said you don't want to spend a lot of money on products but I just want to recommend a few. Kimmaytube of youtube (maybe you've heard of her) has a product line that is awesome! The line has a detangler, shampoo, conditioner and leave in. It really simplifies my routine and does an amazing job on my 4c textured hair. Check her out on youtube then. All the best with your hair goals this year!

I just want to say thank you. Your videos are awesome. I've been natural for 8 months and I think it's great. Most women don't really have the 4c texture and don't understand what it's like to have the dry, wire type hair. I thank God that I found your videos.

I am totally with you on not spending a lot of money either. The VO5 worked great for me too. As for the Kimmaytube de-tangler, the first ingredient is simply aloe Vera juice. The pH is also low like aloe Vera juice. So in theory you could probably just buy Aloe Vera juice and spray that on your hair and get the same results. I bought a gallon of aloe Vera juice and I like the way it detangles my hair.

Hi! Thank you soo much for watching the videos! I'm so glad you can relate :) Aloe vera juice has many great benefits for the hair and scalp so it's definitely a great addition to a regimin if your hair agrees with it LOL. (My hair is super picky lol) Congrats on being 8 months natural btw! :)
