How important is curl definition to you?
Today I purposely removed the twistout definition from my updo, wet it, and let it shrink and fro out (or fro down lol) I'm diggin' it more this way I just enjoy the uniqueness of my texture without lots of bells and whistles. I think it's cool! BTW I'm also enjoying the ease of this style... I'm 3 days in! It makes me wanna do updos a little more often! (And I'm not even a protective styler lol!)

I picked up some stuff from Target and the Vitamin Shoppe yesterday. At Target, I FINALLY found the Giovanni Direct Leave in! I have been trying to get this forever and didn’t really want to order it…which I would have had to. But I found it! In the picture, are the ingredients for the Direct leave in. I know there are several formulas out there...
I’m also trying out the Shea Moisture Olive and Green Tea body products. I brought them mainly for Micah because he has extremely dry and sensitive skin. So I hope this helps him out. ( I wouldn't be surprised if I eventually try them out on my hair because the ingredients are awesome LOL.) The Body Wash has cocoamidopropyl betaine which is supposed to be good for removing buildup. I don’t shampoo my hair but if I ever get tempted I may give this a shot as a clarifier. The lotion looks like an awesome moisturizer. It does have a vegetable wax in it…but so does Oyin! We used them as body products this morning and so far we’re loving them! From the Vitamin Shoppe, picked up some more coconut oil (which I use as a makeup remover and body lotion. It’s been a year since I’ve been doing this ) And last, since we love the mango soap from Nubian Heritage, I got two bars. Sometimes a wife has to intervene! Enjoy! :)
Hey! I attempted an old hairstyle that I did on the channel called Edgy/Fun Updo. After taking out the front of my hair it was a FAIL! Nothing like the 1st time lol. But I quickly figured out what to do with it because there was NO WAY I was re-washing my hair! Ms. Fro thought she had me in an "Edgy Updo Fail" this morning! But after some tucking and a hair pin... SUPER MOMMY! (According to Micah LOL!) This was my inspiration lol! NaturalMe4C- Edgy/Fun Updo This is the video I posted a lonnng time ago for this style :D
Today I reviewed the other two products I picked up from Oyin Handmade! Have you tried these products? How do they work for you? Burnt Sugar Pomade
Hey! As promised here are the results of my 1st Oyin Handmade Stretched Wash and Go Last night, I cowashed and scrunched Avocado oil, Oyin Hair Dew and Oyin Burnt Sugar Pomade into my hair. That's all I used! Next, I let my hair air dry for a couple hrs and then added Goody Comfort Flex Updo Barrettes to the roots of my hair to prevent full shrinkage. I'm soo pleased with the results! Go Oyin!
Good Morning!
(KJV) Psalm chapter 34 verse 3 3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. After all, He deserves ALL the praise! Give it up! :D Most reviews I've seen for the Anti Breakage masque from Shea Moisture say that the product is a heavy protein treatment. For my hair however, it leaves it crazy soft along with the right amount of definition and hold when I use it as a styling aid. I LOVE using this as a styler! It gives me awesome dry twistouts :D Here's a way I like to use it on dirty hair or hair that is in need of a pick me up. My hair had avocado oil, SM Yucca and Baobab Volumizing Conditioner, Grapeseed oil and Fantasia Ic gel in it from my previous cowash. I LOVE the results!!! :D Hey! Here are some pics of the fro I'm rockin in the Nubian Heritage soap review video :) My hair was in an old stretched wash and go that I later banded for extra stretch. The products I have in my hair are avocado oil, Shea Moisture Yucca & Baobab Volumizing Conditioner, Grapeseed oil and Shea Moisture Yucca & Baobab Anti Breakage Masque. I'm lovin' the big fro lol! I finally reviewed these Nubian Heritage soaps lol! I really like them for my skin and trying them out has helped me make the decision to switch to a more natural approach to cleansing my skin. :) Coconut & Papaya Soap |
