Haulin!
Aight so not long ago I asked for some opinions on these two lines: Darcy's Botanicals and Carol's Daughter. I decided to try some products from them for review. Here's what I picked up: Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter ($8.25 for 4 oz sale) Marguerite's Magic ($12.75 sale). I even was able to score a little more cash off by going through shopathome.com. So these two were even cheaper. These products got mixed reviews everywhere I looked but for the rave reviews I wanted to see what the hypes all about. For the negative reviews I was curious why. Particularly, these products are said to smell awful lol!!! Believe it or not, that sparked my curiosity as well. I was like why would they smell stinky stuff? LOL!!! So I got them since they were having an awesome sale. I really wanted to get a leave in from this brand... (At times, I prefer to use as much of the product line as possible when reviewing) but they REALLY were iffy with the reviews, so I passed for now. From Darcy's Botanicals, I was sort of forced into picking up multiple items due to the crazy shipping rates otherwise SMH!!! I ended up ordering them from Curlmart.com for 12 bucks each and got free shipping. BTW, They are 12 dollars on her site as well but again, the shipping cost is CRAZY and there's no option to achieve free shipping! At least there was an option to achieve free shipping on Curlmart. :/ I picked up: Pumpkin Seed Curl Moisturizing Conditioner Vanilla Delight Daily Leave In Conditioner Sweet Cocoa Bean Curl Smoothing Cream Avocado & Honey Twisting Cream Natural Coils Curling Jelly It's gonna take me awhile to try all this stuff out lol! I hope they work out.

I'm trying very hard to understand how the men in my house carry on conversations with each other as well as others! They are too much lol! :) Good Morning! Today it's snowing again... ugh... at least it's only light snow this time. (I'm still over the snow lol.) Ty's off today so we're probably gonna hang out a little... maybe hit a couple stores. We'll see! What are you up to today?
Hey! In this video, I share a review for Shea Moisture's Curling Gel Souffle. I decided to do this because I am now able to use this product during cooler weather unlike before. :) I hope this helps!
When I was relaxed I used to LOVE ponytails and pompadours lol. I can still rock em, my hair is just a lot more plump! :D How great is our God? He's da bomb! :) (KJV) 1 Chronicles chapter 16 verses 25- 34 25 For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord made the heavens. 27 Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place. 28 Give unto the Lord, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength. 29 Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. 30 Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved. 31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigneth. 32 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein. 33 Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the Lord, because he cometh to judge the earth. 34 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. SONG OF THE DAY: How great is our God (by: Chris Tomlin) http://youtu.be/cKLQ1td3MbE Hey!!! Today Ty and Gabe share some highlights from this past week! These men been busy lol! Thank you for your support and comments! God bless! Hey! In case you don't know, I wanted to share a cool site with you! It's called http://shopathome.com/. It's an easy way to earn a little cash back from your online purchases. They give you a percent back from your purchases if you go through their site to get to the site your shopping on.
For instance, Target.com. You would go to Shop At Home first, type "Target" in their search box, and click the store when it comes up. There are also other coupons/coupon codes listed for the store as well, that you can use in addition to the cash back you already get. They don't have a lot of hair sites on there (at least not the one's I've looked for) but stores like Walgreens, Target, Carol's Daughter, Koh'ls, Boscov's, Walmart, etc. are there. There are a TON of stores lol I'm just listing some of the ones I go to lol. I've been registered for like 3 years and it actually works. :) They pay out once your account reaches 20 bucks. It may not sound like a lot but it's pretty nice getting that check in the mail just for shopping online lol. I don't shop a ton online but if you do you may rack up! Btw, the site is free. :) Check it out! Hey! As promised, here's how the LCO method, Eden Body Works/ Burnt Sugar Pomade twistout has been lasting for me. I have just been adding very little product to frizzy areas and retwisting and lightly banding. :) Btw, I washed my hair on the 16th (which I consider day 1), removed the twists the next day (17th) which were the picture results I posted yesterday. In this post, the pics in the black shirt are from the 18th and the striped shirt with Big Mike are from today the 19th. ( I attempted a few flat twists along with regular twists last night to practice. :O I need to work on those ya'll!) My scalp is doing great! It doesn't smell dirty like it tend to do around this time (ugh) and I've have very little itching this morning... I added a little burnt sugar pomade to the itchy areas and it's fine now. I plan to cowash tomorrow... or drag this out some. I don't know what to say right now other than I'm SHOCKED!!! I decided to try the Eden Body Works Curl Defining Cream for a damp twistout... As you may know this product DID NOT work for me last summer. But I was feeling daring especially since it now works well for my wash and gos. I even used the Eden Body Works Coconut Shea Leave in for the style.
I also decided to try something else that I haven't done since Sept 2012 lol, the LCO method on freshly washed hair. I'm usually a LOC and a LOCO girl. The reason I decided to try this method this time is because I'm experimenting with my scalp... I have always mentioned that it is sensitive to oils... my hair loves them but my scalp isn't a fan so much. :/ Whenever I do the LOC or LOCO method I try to avoid my scalp as much as possible but I still get this crazy itch after a couple days. I've always had to wash my hair 2x a week (even with the LCO method I used back in my relaxed days) but recently I added another cowash in there which I'm fine with but I don't wanna be blitzing through product lol. So with that, the wheels in my head started turning and I decided to try to see what my hair and scalp does WITHOUT direct liquid oils at this point in my journey. Will my scalp be a little calmer??? As you know, things change lol! When I was applying my product this time to wet hair, it didn't feel as nice as it would if I had my avocado oil in my hair... but I kept going... I used the Eden leave in, put clips in my hair to help stretch it a little, and sat under the dryer to get my hair to a "damp" state rather than soaking wet. Then I twisted with the Curl Defining Creme and Oyin Burnt Sugar Pomade (sealer). I even added a little of the pomade to the itchier areas of my scalp. OMG, I LOVE THE RESULTS! Right now, my hair does NOT feel dry at all and my scalp feels really good too. :) Maybe it's the products?!? I dunno! I will let you know how it does with me not using the liquid oils. This is another experimental phase for me! Hmmm... I'll post the day 2/3 hair tomorrow. :) Hey! In this video I'm sharing a quick way I like to save failed twistouts/braidouts etc! We all have those days sometimes lol. BTW, This is the style I rocked recently in the SM Tahitian Noni & Monoi Shopping/Big Chop Talk? (VLOG) - Kriss & Ty http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfhEHqyos1k video. :) I hope this helps! Thanks soo much for your support and comments! :) The Steps :)The Results Good Morning!
