Happy Late New Year LOL! Today I just wanted to recap on some of the things that have happened with my hair this past year as well as share my plans for 2014. My last trim was on December , 2013 As I mentioned before, I seriously needed this trim! I was able to prolong cutting the majority of the incomplete splits for almost 5 months so I thinks that's pretty good. The incomplete splits finally began to open up and split as well as break! So I had no choice but to cut some hair. I'm not upset at all because as mentioned before I like the 7.5-8.5 inch range anyways lol. In fact, I'm thinking about trimming more frequently to keep my sanity when it comes to detangling. :D Glycerin Update I'm pleased to finally be able to say that I am able to use products containing glycerin during the winter! YAY!!!!! Now this doesn't include all products of course lol, some still seem to make my hair crazy but product lines like, Oyin Handmade, Shea Moisture, and Jane Carter seem to be working awesome! I'm not sure what the major difference is... but I think it may have something to do with the replacement of olive oil and avocado butter in my moisturizing routine. Since using avocado oil as the second step in the LOC or LOCO methods, I've had more success with glycerin containing products. (We'll see how my hair does next summer lol!!! Hopefully it goes better than last year!) I still LOVE avocado butter as it's multi purpose. Not only is it a great styler but it's awesome when I use it in my protein treatments. It works awesome that way so I may try to use it while deep conditioning as well. We'll see! I have a couple goals for the year. Not too many! 1. Deep Conditioning I want to step up my deep conditioning game this year for real! I've said this like 1000 times lol but I'm serious this time. :D Even if it's sitting with some Giovanni Smooth as Silk Conditioner in my hair while wearing a grocery bag for 20 minutes before or after cowashing... it counts lol! 2. Sealing Ends This year I plan on sealing my ends regularly. I really want to keep them in good shape. As I've mentioned before, I plan on trimming more often, so my ends should be well maintained.

Hi! Your hair is absolutely gorgeous! I gotta know how did you stretch your hair to achieve the elongated twist out?

Thanks Free! This was a 2 day old banded twistout :) I used avocado oil, Oyin's hair dew, whipped pudding , and burnt sugar pomade. I had an Oyin night lol!
